23.02.22  Biofilm

Being mainly slow, semi-autonomous sample scrubs subjected to delay-line degradation. The intention was to generate interesting textures evocative, even if only romantically, of organic environments. I left things running often, returning after a long interval to examine the results. Becuase of this and arbitrary features in the recordings themselves, they reminded me of complex, intimate microsound field recordings; the hydrophonics of the grubby brown brooks where I live, clogged as they are with leaves and slippery with biofilm.
